Adding a Post

To add a post, navigate to the thread you would like to add a post to and click the thread name.

Scroll to the box labeled “Discussion Forum > Add Post”.

Enter in the text you would like to post. When you are finished, click the “Add Post” button.

You should now see your post in the box labeled “Discussions Forums > Board Name > Thread Name”.

From here you are able to view the posts added to the thread. Each post will show the user that posted along with the date that it was posted on. The post can be edited only if you are the user that created the post, and once edited it will display an edited on date. To delete a post, check the checkbox to the right of the post and click the “Delete Posts” button.

Users who login to your website to add posts to the discussion forum will see a similar layout, except they will not be able to delete posts or threads.

Keep in mind when assigning users to be allowed to add posts to the forum you do not need to give them “Page Administration”, you simply just need to give them “Page View Allowed” and when they login they will be able to post. It is recommended that you create a separate group for users who will be using the discussion forum. For more information on users, groups, or permissions please refer to the “User Management” section of the manual.
