Adding a Link

To create a link, scroll down the page to the box labeled “Links Directory > Add”.

To create a link you need to fill out two fields. The first field is “Name”. This is commonly the name of the company or business that you are linking to. The second field is the “URL”. The “URL” is the address of the website, for example ‘www.google.com’ would be the “URL”. Next, you may add an optional description to put a comment or description about the website. Lastly, you may add an image. The image has no options, and will be re-sized to fit the links directory. Remember that images may be a maximum file size of 500kb. For more information regarding images, please refer to the “Adding an Image” section of this manual. When you have completed the fields, click the “Save Link” button.

After your link has been added, you will be able to view the existing links under the box labeled “Links”.

From here you are able to edit, delete and re-order your links. To re-order your links, click the “Save Order” button to save any changes. There is no limit to the number of links you can add to this module.

To view your links directory, logout of administration and navigate to the page where you added the “Links Directory” module. Your page will look similar to the example below:

Users on your website can go to the affiliated website in three different ways: By clicking the image, clicking the name, or clicking the “Go to Website” link.

Note that when a user clicks the link, the website will open in a new Web browser. This is so that you are never directing traffic away from your website.
