A QR Code is a matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with camera, and smartphones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.
QR Codes are now used in a much broader context, including both commercial tracking applications and convenience-oriented applications aimed at mobile phone users (known as mobile tagging).
Users with a camera phone equipped with the correct reader application can scan the image of the QR Code to display text, contact information, connect to a wireless network, or open a web page in the phone's browser.
To create a QR Code, log into administration and go to “QR Code” located under “Additional Tools”.
- Select Small, Medium, or Large
- Type in the text or url you would. Note that maximum length is 450 characters.
- Click "Create Image"
Right click the generated image to save it to your computer. Now you can upload the image to wherever you would like it displayed on your website.
